The Patrons Lunch June 12th 2016 – The Mall, London
Amanda Warwick Dance Arts, honoured to dance for Her Majesty the Queen
on the occasion of her 90th birthday celebrations
Nine talented members from AWDA were chosen from schools across the UK to represent the Royal Academy of Dance, by taking part in this unforgettable event. Live BBC 1 television coverage was led by Clare Balding as the parade members joined the President of the RAD, ballerina Darcey Bussell, in this exciting event.
Clare Balding tweeted us ‘YOU WERE GREAT!’
Representing the 1980’s, the AWDA dancers performed on the 2½ mile long course in front of the Royal family, an invited audience of 10,000, and the public viewers who watched on screens in the near-by parks to celebrate at the Patron’s Lunch Picnic. Well done team!
